Hijikata and Kubler Found Out Their Finals Opponents

For the second consecutive year, Australia will have participants in the doubles finals in Melbourne. Rinky Hijikata and Jason Kubler earned the right to fight for the title after they defeated Horacio Zeballos and Marcel Granollers.

They won in straight sets – 6:4 and 6:2 and routinely advanced. There was a lot more drama in the other semifinal match, where Jan Zielinsky and Hugo Nys managed to earn their right to fight for the title after a hard-fought match versus French Pair Jeremy Chardy and Fabrice Martin.

They won in three sets, 6:3, 5:7, and 6:2. The match for the doubles title is scheduled for Saturday, right after the Women’s Singles Finals.
