Vania King - I Didn’t Feel I Can Beat Serena Williams

American former tennis player Vania King admitted that just playing against Serena Williams was a difficult thing to deal with. She played against Serena for the first time in the 2014 US Open and claimed it was very different from every match she ever had to play.

In this match, Williams absolutely thrashed King, winning 2:0 (6:1, 6:0). When they met next time in 2016, King played better but still lost 6:3, 6:3. Former top-50 player admitted that facing Williams was the only time she approached the game not believing she had a chance.

She also stated that it was super stressful and that her first loss was very difficult to erase from her mind. However, she was glad that she could perform better in their next duel, where she had a respectable score.
