Wawrinka Shows He Is Still Capable of Winning on the ATP Level

Three-time grand slam champion Stan Wawrinka made his presence known on Monday morning when he managed to advance to the second round of the tournament in Rotterdam after beating Alexander Bublik in straight sets.

The 37-year-old won after around 100 minutes of play with a 7:6 and 6:4 result. This was the tenth straight defeat for Bublik, whose last win in the ATP tournament was at the end of October last year in Basel.

In the next round, Wawrinka will face another veteran, Richard Gasquet, who managed to come back from the deficit against Pablo Carreno Busta.
