Semifinalist of Roland Garros Announced She Is Gay

Argentinian tennis player Nadia Podorska recently announced she is gay and that she is in a relationship with Guillermina Naya. Naya turned 26 just a couple of days ago, and Podorska sent her best wishes via Instagram and, using this opportunity, came out as gay.

Billie Jean King immediately congratulated her on social media. As you might know, this legendary American tennis player is one of the biggest fighters for LGBT rights.

During the last nine months, Podorska was not active on the court, and she is currently ranked 203rd on the WTA list. In 2024, she played the semifinals of Roland Garros as the youngest player in history to reach this stage of the tournament. Her best WTA ranking was 36.

Podorska is the second tennis player this year that reveals she is gay; as a Russian tennis player, Daria Kastkina came out earlier this year and announced that she is in a relationship with Olympic figure skater Natalia Zabiiako.
