Djokovic Fights Through the Injury and Reaches the Fourth Round

Novak Djokovic, the 21-time grand slam champion, fought Grigor Dimitrov in the third round and advanced to the round of sixteen of the Australian Open. He defeated him in straight sets, 7:6, 6:3, and 6:4.

Although Nole celebrated with an excellent result, he struggled with his hamstring injury, and after a hard-fought first set, he asked for medical assistance.

Dimitrov was aware of the problems Djokovic was facing, so he tried to push the tempo and get the better of Serb, but to no effect. He didn’t have solutions for Novak’s incredible defense and aggressiveness.

In the round of sixteen, Djokovic will face Alex De Minaur in two days.
