Berrettini Brings Important Lead for Italy

Matteo Berrettini managed to defeat Thiago Monteiro at United Cup in Australia, which gave the Italian national team a 2:0 lead.

He beat him in straight sets, 6:4 and 7:6, and it took him almost two hours to do it. Italy now has a huge lead after Berrettini won them a much-needed point.

In the first set, Berrettini converted the break point in the tenth game, which eventually ended up being enough to give him a 1:0 lead. However, Monteiro gave a lot of problems to Matteo in the second set. There were no break points, so the winner was decided in the tiebreak.
