Emma Raducanu Receives a Wild Card for Indian Wells

British tennis player Emma Raducanu received a special wild card invitation to participate in the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells.

The former US Open champion is currently ranked number 80 on the WTA list, and she didn’t qualify directly, but the organisers of the tournament in California decided to give her a wild card.

Raducanu didn’t play a single match since the Australian Open, where she got eliminated by Coco Gauff. Taylor Fritz and Iga Swiatek are defending champions at the WTA 1000 Indian Wells that will kick off on 9th March.
