American tennis player Taylor Fritz looks forward to facing Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of the Nitto ATP finals in Turin.
He managed to beat Felix Auger-Alliasime in three sets – 7:6, 6:7, and 6:2, which secured him the spot in the semifinals, where he will face the 21-time grand slam champion from Serbia.
“I knew I would have to serve good all game long. I got frustrated since I had multiple opportunities to convert break points, but I didn’t succeed. I did my best to stay calm and patient and to wait for the next opportunity,” Fritz stated after the game.
The world’s number nine awaits a huge challenge in the semifinals. When asked what he expected from the match, he said:
“It is a big opportunity for me. I look forward to meeting Novak on the court. He had a lot of success in this tournament before. He is one of the best players in the history of the game, if not the best. I’m really excited about the opportunity to face him”.
