Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev was supposed to play in the tournament, but by the start of it, he stated that he would not be traveling to London. However, today, he announced what really happened behind the scenes.
“The truth is, according to all the rules of the competition, I should’ve been invited to Laver Cup as well. Yet, I was not, and not because I refused the invitation. I’ve had problems in acquiring a visa for England, and in order to avoid causing any problems, I decided not to travel,” Medvedev recently stated.
