Although he retired two months ago, legendary tennis player Roger Federer still remains the highest-paid player in the world of tennis.
After the long cooperation with Nike, Roger signed a ten-year contract with Uniqlo that was worth a whopping 100 million USD. After he retired, he also earned 130 million from the tournament, and he will be receiving a pretty nice sum of money from this sponsor all the way to 2028.
To honor the commitment to his sponsors, Federer played at the exhibition games in Japan in November. There were some speculations that the contract is actually worth 300 million USD, but Tennis365 claims that this is not true.
Regardless of the sum, Roger Federer still remains the highest-paid player in the sport even though he is retired, and it seems like he will keep that status for a while.
