Although Novak Djokovic’s hamstring injury was one of the hot topics over the course of the past couple of days, he came out on the court day and absolutely dominated Alex De Minaur.
The only point in which this match was remotely competitive in the first set was when the score was 2:2 in games. However, from that point on, Djokovic shifted gears, started dominating the match, and never looked back.
Nole won in three straight sets – 6:2, 6:1, and 6:2. He was moving gracefully and confidently, and his backhand was particularly impressive. The most important thing is that he moved really well, and it looked like he managed to overcome his injury or at least, keep it under control.
In the quarterfinals match of the Australian Open, Djokovic will face Andrey Rublev.
