Draper Forced to Withdraw From Miami Open

Jack Draper, one of Britain’s most promising tennis stars, has been forced to pull out of this week’s Miami Open due to an abdominal muscle injury. The 21-year-old had suffered a slight tear to his oblique muscle while playing at Indian Wells, where he was forced to retire early in the second set of a fourth-round match against Carlos Alcaraz.

Draper’s injury is a setback for him, as he was hoping to continue his impressive form after a successful 2021 season.

Draper, who is currently ranked world number 43, has had a challenging year due to a series of retirements caused by injuries. However, he was able to compete in 22 events last year and showed tremendous potential, leading many to believe that he could be one of the future stars of British tennis.

Despite this setback, Draper remains optimistic and determined to overcome his injury and come back stronger. Fans of the rising star will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on his progress and eagerly await his return to the court.
