Rybakina Will Fight for Her Second Grand Slam Title

Elena Rybakina earned her right to compete for the Australian Open title today. Russian player managed to defeat Victoria Azarenka in the semis and advanced to the finals in straight sets – 7:6 and 6:3.

The first set was very exciting, and Azarenka managed to break in the fifth game. However, Rybakina recovered and managed to turn the tables by leading 5:3. She had set point, but Azarenka managed to fight back and reach a tiebreak which she eventually lost.

In the second set, Rybakina finally managed to break the resistance of her experienced opponent, and at the start of the next week, she will enter the top 10 on the WTA list. Whether or not she will be a champion of the Australian Open remains to be seen in the final match; she will play against Aryna Sabalenka.
